Vinum Opens Its First Fine Wine Boutique in Singapore

Buying and enjoying fine wine is one of life’s greatest pleasures. Seeing, browsing and holding the bottles, tasting the wines and discussing them with like-minded friends or professionals in a luxurious setting should be an experience to cherish.

With this in mind, we are pleased to announce that something special is coming in November: the opening of our first Fine Wine Boutique in Singapore, an evolution in direction for Vinum.

Where: Shaw Centre, 1 Scotts Road

The boutique sits in the heart of Singapore’s fine wine district, at Shaw Centre, 1 Scotts Road. It will offer the finest wine retail and tasting experience possible, and it is open to all.

A Walk-In Cellar of Around 2,000 Bottles

Clients can browse approximately two thousand bottles, with no retail mark-up, of the world’s most prestigious wines in the walk-in cellar. From there, you can open a bottle in the lounge or a private salon, or simply take something away with you.

The cellar will include:

Bordeaux: Lafleur, Le Pin, Pétrus, Lafite, Latour and Margaux
Burgundy: Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC), Leroy and Leflaive
Beyond: all the major fine wine regions, represented by their finest producers

The Lounge, the Private Salon and the Tasting Atelier

A full events programme is in planning, with regular wine tastings in the Tasting Atelier. Whether you are hosting privately or discovering something new, each space has its own sense of occasion.

Design: A Contemporary Take on the Classic Wine Cellar

Drawing on our long history of hospitality, and working with two specialist design companies, we have planned every detail meticulously. The approach is grounded and architectural, drawing on the language of classic wine cellars and reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens.

Rich timber tones, structured forms and controlled lighting create depth, intimacy and quiet sophistication. Clear transitions between the lounge, the Tasting Atelier and the cellar reinforce the different senses of occasion and focus.

The result is a composed, confident atmosphere, immersive and contemplative, for serious engagement and private hosting.

Inspired By Burgundy

In keeping with our close relationship to the region, the colours and textures of the boutique’s interiors, décor and artwork have largely been inspired by the landscapes and terroirs of Burgundy. These are reflected in various installations and artworks, and even the carpets.

For example, an abstract vineyard map inspired by vineyard parcels in Chambolle-Musigny is expressed as a layered mineral relief. The variations in texture, depth and tone echo how neighbouring parcels can produce distinct wines through subtle differences in soil, exposure and cultivation.
