1998 Chateau La Mission Haut Brion
SGD $7,500 (inc GST $8,175) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 3 cases
98 Points Jeb Dunnuck
“Just a spectacular wine in every sense, the 1998 is now fully mature yet still youthful, with a vivid ruby hue and little in the way of any bricking. Offering a kaleidoscope-like nose of red and black currants, scorched earth, truffles, tobacco, lead pencil, and ample crushed stone-like minerality, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a layered, multi-dimensional texture, sweet tannins, and a thrilling finish. It needs about an hour in a decanter, but this is magical juice, and the bottle was emptied in record time. Count yourself lucky if you have bottles and enjoy any time over the coming 20-30 years.”
2000 Chateau Latour
SGD $15,000 (inc GST $16,350) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 2 cases
99 Points Neal Martin
“The 2000 Latour is very deep in color. The nose is backward and demands coaxing from the glass, eventually revealing intense black fruit, cedar, graphite and very subtle Japanese nori aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with an arching structure that grips the mouth. The tannins are a little bolder than the 2001. This unfolds swirl by swirl, with hints of licorice emerging with time, and fanning out audaciously on the finish.”
2009 Chateau Clinet
SGD $4,050 (inc GST $4,414.50) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 4 cases
95 Ponts Neal Martin
“The 2009 Clinet has an impressive and complex bouquet with liquorice and truffle infused black fruit, hints of desiccated orange peel and even a dab of honey. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, succulent, and fine tannins (although not as fine as the 2009 La Conseillante) with a dense, precocious and heady finish. There is hedonism here, but it is on a tight leash.”
2009 Chateau Pichon Lalande
SGD $3,450 (inc GST $3,760.50) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 4 cases
97+ Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown
“A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot but without any Cabernet Franc, the 2009 Pichon Lalande has a deep garnet-brick color. It charges out with vibrant notions of crème de cassis, blueberry pie, and redcurrant jelly, followed by flamboyant suggestions of dried roses, cardamom, fragrant earth, and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is rich and impactful, featuring fantastically plush tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with epic length and depth. Absolutely scrumptious right now, it has a good 20-25 years of cellaring potential left, and I suspect there is way more gravitas in the pipeline.”

“The finest wine ever made by proprietors Daniel and Florence Cathiard, the 2009 Smith-Haut-Lafitte exhibits an opaque blue/purple color in addition to a glorious nose of acacia flowers, licorice, charcoal, blueberries, black raspberries, lead pencil shavings and incense. This massive, extraordinarily rich, unctuously textured wine may be the most concentrated effort produced to date, although the 2000, 2005 and 2010 are nearly as prodigious. A gorgeous expression of Pessac-Leognan with sweet tannin, emerging charm and delicacy, and considerable power, depth, richness and authority, it should age effortlessly for 30-40+ years. Bravo!”
2010 Chateau Calon Segur
SGD $2,490 (inc GST $2,714.10) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 2 cases
94 Points Neal Martin
“The 2010 Calon-Ségur has a slightly gamey bouquet, vibrant and energetic with plenty of red and black fruit. This appears to gain complexity with aeration, revealing hidden facets with each swirl of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity and a really gorgeous, surprisingly fleshy but focused finish that exudes style and class. What a lovely wine. You could almost broach this now although I prefer to leave this a few more years.”
2010 Chateau Figeac

“The 2010 Figeac has a deep hue. The nose is quite introverted at first, with dark berry fruit, incense, touches of fig and mulberry. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity, gorgeous pure fruit, mulberry and dark plum, gentle considering the vintage. This 2010 has softened in the last couple of years, gaining depth towards the finish. Very persistent – this is just beginning to show what it is capable of.”
2010 Chateau Leoville Barton
SGD $2,220 (inc GST $2,419.80) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 3 cases
97 Points Jeb Dunnuck
“Clearly one of the all-time greats from this château (it actually reminds me a little of the 1990), the 2010 Château Léoville Barton reveals a still youthful ruby hue as well as a textbook Barton bouquet of pure dark currants, savory tobacco, saddle leather, graphite, and subtle spicy oak. It’s beautifully concentrated, with a full-bodied, deep, layered mouthfeel, still present yet sweet, polished tannins, and a regal, focused style that is quintessential Léoville Barton. This brilliant, majestic wine should be sought out by wine lovers. It clearly offers pleasure today yet has probably not quite reached its prime drinking window. Give bottles another 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 30+. Bravo to the team at this terrific chateau.”
2012 Chateau Fleur Cardinale

“The 2012 Fleur Cardinale is a beautiful example of modern Saint-Emilion. Silky tannins and soft contours wrap around a core of red cherry jam, wild flowers, mint, cinnamon and white pepper. Dramatic and expansive on the palate, the 2012 shows remarkable nuance for such an intense wine. All the elements fall into place effortlessly.”
2016 Chateau La Conseillante
SGD $1,890 (inc GST $2,060.10) per case (6*75cl OWC) – 3 cases
98 Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown
“Made from 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2016 La Conseillante is deep garnet-purple colored. It needs just a little swirling to unlock notes of wild blueberries, black raspberries, and ripe, juicy plums, plus suggestions of clove oil, rosehip tea, and tar. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a rock-solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness supporting the taut, muscular fruit, finishing with great energy and poise.”
2016 Chateau Clos Fourtet
SGD $1,050 (inc GST $1,144.50) per case (6*75cl OWC) – 7 cases
SGD $2,100 (inc GST $2,289) per case (12*75cl OWC) – 3 cases
97+ Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown
“Clos Fourtet 2016 is blended from 90% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc and has a deep garnet color, with a touch of purple. The nose is shut down initially, soon unfurling to offer up notes of plum preserves, boysenberries and fruitcake, plus wafts of Indian spices, dusty soil, and garrigue. Full-bodied, the palate is super-rich, jam-packed with black fruits and exotic spice layers, supported by ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing with epic length.”
2016 Chateau Lynch Bages
SGD $1,200 (inc GST $1,308) per case (6*75cl OWC) – 3 cases
97+ Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown
“The 2016 Lynch-Bages is blended from 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot and has a deep garnet color. It is closed to begin, requiring a lot of swirling to unlock notes of blackcurrant pastilles, fresh black plums, and black cherries, plus suggestions of mossy tree bark, truffles, black olives, and lilacs. Medium-bodied, the palate is like a tightly wound spring waiting to explode, featuring layers of minerals and crunchy black fruits, supported by very firm, grainy tannins and bold freshness, finishing with epic length and energy. When this opens up, in another 5-7 years, be prepared to be blown away!”
