Healthy dark crimson. Thick and deep and a bit over the top and drying – painful to taste. An exaggerated style. Horrid hot finish.

Wine Advocate 90
A very expressive, effervescent nose with ripe Morello cherry, orange zest and a touch of burnt match. Good definition. The palate is full-bodied with chewy tannins, perhaps lacking a little grace and refinement with another chewy, cranberry and raspberry flavoured finish. Needs time, but this is a good solid Pomerol. Tasted October 2007.
Vinous 87-90
Bright, deep ruby. Black raspberry and iron aromas lifted by a floral element. Fairly concentrated if somewhat unevolved and undifferentiated flavors of currant, kirsch and licorice. But this has strong fruit and solid structure.
