Based in the village of Castiglione Falletto, Vietti is an institutional estate that has fundamentally shaped the modern history and global reputation of Piedmont. Rooted in winemaking traditions dating back to the 19th century, the winery rose to international prominence under the visionary leadership of Luciana Vietti and her husband, the legendary winemaker Alfredo Currado. Alfredo was a pioneer who helped save the native Erbaluce and Arneis varieties from extinction and was among the first to bottle single-vineyard Barolos in the 1960s.

Today, following a transition in ownership to the Krause family and the retirement of longtime winemaker Luca Currado Vietti, the estate maintains its uncompromising standard of excellence across a diverse, highly coveted portfolio that highlights the region’s absolute finest terroirs.

The red wines undergo traditional, lengthy macerations and are aged in a combination of large Slavonian oak casks (botti) and neutral French oak barrels. This precise approach yields wines that balance rich, multi-layered concentration with a driving acidity and highly refined, integrated tannins.
