Roagna’s 2011 Barbaresco Paje Vecchie Viti opens with the most exquisite aromatics imaginable. A hypothetical blend of Asili and Montefico, the Paje Vecchie Viti offers captivating perfume, ripe, silky fruit and exceptional overall balance. Oddly, the Vecchie Viti is much more accessible than the straight Paje, which Roagna ascribes to this wine having had one more racking during aging. In 2011, the Barbaresco Paje Vecchie Viti is pure and total finesse.
