Wine Advocate 90
The Renato Corino 2017 Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata is rich and darkly concentrated with plum, cherry and blackcurrant. There are additional background notes of spice, toasted hazelnut and campfire ember. With fruit from La Morra, this hot-vintage expression is indeed more powerful, concentrated and thickly layered overall. The tannins are still astringent, and although they will soften, I’m not sure they will ever fully integrate.
