The Vinum Team was absolutely amazed by the 2022 Pinots and the Chardonnays from Bass Philip and By Farr during our staff tasting last week, so we thought we’d share them with you today!

By Farr: A Legacy of Pinot Noir Pioneers
Gary Farr is a genuine trailblazer in the world of Pinot Noir, with a career that has spanned many years. He began his journey in Australia at Bannockburn and gained invaluable experience by working 10 vintages at the renowned Domaine Dujac in Burgundy! In 1994, Gary leveraged his extensive knowledge to create his own estate in Geelong. Alongside his son Nick, they craft exceptional, single-vineyard wines that are highly coveted.
Bass Phillip: The Burgundy Connection
Since 2020, Bass Phillip has forged a significant link to Burgundy, marked by the acquisition of the domaine by Jean-Marie Fourrier, the brilliant producer from Gevrey-Chambertin. With such a prestigious background, Bass Phillip’s Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays are just exceptional, living up to their Burgundian heritage.
