Domaine Dujac Offer: 3 Highly Sought-After Cuvees

When we speak of Clos de la Roche, our thoughts often gravitate towards Ponsot, who has largely participated to unveiled the extraordinary qualities of this Grand Cru. However, it is Domaine Dujac that has masterfully showcased one of the most vibrant expressions of this precious Morey Saint-Denis terroir.

Hence why we are delighted today to offer the magnificent 2012 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche, as well as two exceptional vintages of Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru from 2012 and 2014.

These three cuvees have all received high praise from critics. According to John Gilman, the 2012 vintage of Clos de la Roche is still in its youthful stage, yet it holds the promise of magnificence in the years to come, earning an impressive score of 96+ points.

Meanwhile, Allen Meadow highly recommends the not-to-be-missed 2012 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru, describing it as “impressive” and awarding it a rating of 92/95 points. Furthermore, for Neal Martin, the 2014 Aux Malconsorts “has an intense bouquet […] there is clearly great potential.” and scored 95 lovely points.

Only one piece of advice, don’t miss the opportunity to add these extraordinary wines to your collection! Please let us know if these pearls are of interest by contacting your account manager or by simply clicking the “Shop now” button.

“The 2012 vintage of Clos de la Roche from Domaine Dujac is still a very, very young wine, but it is going to be magnificent in the fullness of time. Today it offers up superb purity and transparency, though still a tad marked by its new oak component in this very early stage. The bouquet is a fine, fine blend of red and black cherries, plums, raw cocoa, a fine base of soil and plenty of smoky new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and marvelously soil-driven for such a young wine, with a sappy core of fruit, fine focus and grip and a very long, suavely tannic finish. The balance here is just perfect, and once the new wood is fully integrated into the base of the wine, it will probably close down for an extended period of hibernation. I would not touch it again until it has celebrated its twentieth birthday- not because it is not going to be impressive to drink younger- but there is so much waiting in the wings here that it is crazy not to give this great wine time to develop all aspects of its beauty! (Drink between 2032-2075)”

2012 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts
1 case (x12) @ SGD$ 11,200/ case (inc GST $12,096)

“Reduction. This is completely different from the Beaux Monts, particularly in terms of size and weight as there is real muscle to the impressively concentrated and ripe medium-bodied plus flavors that culminate in a hugely long finish that coats the palate with dry extract. The supporting tannins are also markedly firmer and it’s clear that this will require around 15 years to completely realize its full, and considerable, potential yet it should be approachable after 10 years or so. In a word, impressive.”
92/95 Points Allen Meadows – ‘Don’t miss! Outstanding’

2014 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts
1 case (x12) @ SGD$ 10,300/ case (inc GST $11,124)
12 bottles (x75cl) @ SGD$ 880/ bottle (inc GST $950.40)

“The 2014 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts 1er Cru has an intense bouquet with open-knit wild strawberry, raspberry and subtle ferrous notes. This is still quite backward as you would expect, but unfurls to reveal veins of orange rind and even a hint of tangy marmalade. The palate is medium-bodied with a grippy entry. This is perhaps the first Malconsorts from Dujac where I really notice the backbone and density, perhaps the first where I can really commend the typicité that floods through on the finish. I would not touch bottles for three or four years but there is clearly great potential.”
95 Points Neal Martin
