Dear Manon,
We are thrilled today to be offering the prestige cuvee of Champagne Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires Blanc de Blancs from the vintage 2007.
This champagne is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from five Crus in the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, and Vertus. The 2007 vintage, only the seventh release since the cuvée’s inception in 1983, reflects the challenging yet rewarding growing season characterised by early bud break, a cool summer, and a harvest that balanced sugar and acidity perfectly. Aged for over 12 years in the house’s historic chalk cellars, this cuvee is an absolute masterpiece!
Critics have praised the 2007 Blanc des Millénaires: James Suckling gave 96 points and says loved the “finish of crystalline purity and brightness.” Yohan Castaing awarded it 95+ points, noting that the wine “exhales aromas of candied lemon, lemon oil, spring flowers, ripe orchard fruits, and hints of pastry.” while William Kelley highlighted that it “combines generosity and tension,” making it a “terrific new release.”
