Les Fillottes Pomerol 2019: A Masterpiece from the Thienpont Family

The Thienpont family is synonymous with some of the most exclusive luxury wines of Bordeaux including Pomerol superstars Vieux Chateau Certan and Le Pin. Guillaume Thienpont learned his craft under the tutelage of his father, Alexandre, at VCC. Today, Guillaume is gradually taking full charge of winemaking at this legendary chateau. At the same time, he oversees the vines at Le Pin for his uncle whilst Jacques Thienpont is at the family home in Belgium.

Guillaume also runs a small number of other projects. In collaboration with Francois Thienpont – another uncle! – and both close to the home base in Pomerol Les Fillottes is a micro-property in Pomerol itself, producing fewer than 500 cases a year.
