Brigitte Fallon is married to Michel Fallon, cellar master to none other than Selosse for 30 years and producer of cult grower Champagne par excellence Ozanne. A supremely-talented winemaker in her own right, Brigitte’s wines nod to some of the oxidative richness and texture that form the signature of Selosse and her husband’s wines, but combined with a poise and transparency uniquely her own.
The low dosage new disgorgement of Avysia – an NV blend with its identity based in the 2020 vintage – will arrive on our Singapore shores in Q3 and is offered today at a special pre-arrival price. Our London colleagues recently experienced a bottle of the previous release, with a 2019 base, and were enthralled by its layered complexity and pin-point precision.
Rich nose, orange peel and spice also with a touch of salty sea air. Quite robust on the palate, very good intensity with bruleed peaches, crème anglaise and spicy, yeasty notes, very full texture, hints of coffee and marmite and quite a savoury, very long finish. Gastronomic and vinous and surely going to develop quite magnificently. (2024)
