Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Isabel Ferrando and her daughter, Guillemette, who recently joined her mother at the domaine. This special visit marked the debut of their highly anticipated 2021 collection which we are thrilled to offer today!
Isabel and Guillemette, along with their dedicated and very young team, prioritise biodiversity preservation. The domaine is certified organic and biodynamic, and they meticulously select vine genetics (using massale selection). They also plant bushes and cereals to provide shade reduce sun exposure and ensure the freshness of the wine. In a nutshell, they craft mineral-rich, pure, and saline wines – a departure from the typical style of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
As Jeb Dunnuck and Joe Czerwinski, the Vinum Team absolutely love these new 2021s:
If you missed the chance to meet these remarkable winemakers last week, now is your opportunity to acquire some of their exceptional Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines!

2021 FAMILLE ISABEL FERRANDO CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE BLANC
@ SGD $75 per bottle (inc GST $81.75)
“The 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc continues to impress, with the fresher, focused, elegant style of the vintage to go with beautiful white flowers, citrus, crushed stone, and spicy aromas and flavors. It’s medium-bodied, beautifully balanced, and elegant on the palate, with a great finish. It tastes exactly as it did a year ago, with no evolution, so this beauty is going to evolve for at least another 7-8 years, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve longer.”

2021 FAMILLE ISABEL FERRANDO CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE
@ SGD $115 per bottle (inc GST $125.35)
“Bottled in April of this, the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape clearly ranks with the crème de la crème of the vintage and has more depth, concentration, and texture than most. Black raspberries, Provençal herbs, ground pepper, and assorted spices define the aromatics, and it’s medium to full-bodied, has a focused, elegant mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and a great finish. It’s not massive and plays in the elegant, fresher style of the vintage, but it’s utterly beguiling with its complexity and nuance. Drink bottles any time over the coming 10-15 years.”

2021 FAMILLE ISABEL FERRANDO, CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE COLOMBIS
@ SGD $150 per bottle (inc GST $163.50)
“I also loved the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Colombis, another incredible achievement in this vintage. Wild strawberries, savory flowers, subtle Provençal garrigue, and assorted spices define the aromatics, and it’s medium to full- bodied, has silky tannins, and a layered, balanced, seamless profile that’s already impossible to resist.”

2021 FAMILLE ISABEL FERRANDO CUVEE F601
6 bottles @ SGD $550 per bottle (inc GST $599.50)
“There are just 800 bottles of the all-Cinsault 2021 Chateauneuf du Pape F601, but the good news is that the wine is excellent, despite the challenges of the vintage. Extravagantly floral and loaded with scents of garrigue, backed by notions of stone fruit, it’s full-bodied but airy, with gossamer tannins. It may not be quite as concentrated and long as previous vintages, but it’s elegant and reassuringly excellent.”
