We are delighted to have a small number of cases of Tenuta Luce’s 2019 Brunello di Montalcino, complete with an impressive 98 point score from James Suckling.
Tenuta Luce is a collaboration between two prominent wine-producing families — the Frescobaldis of Tuscany and the Mondavis of California. This joint venture began in the 1990s with the goal of creating exceptional wines that reflect the unique terroir of Montalcino.
Of the 88has of vineyards owned by Luce della Vite, 11has are registered in the “Albo del Brunello di Montalcino.” This is where the Sangiovese for Luce Brunello is sourced from. The wines are aged in the traditional Slavonian oak barrels. The Sangiovese grapes are mainly from the vineyard called ‘Madonnino’ which has an ideal exposure and soil composition with the famous galestro soil. The grapes from here have the perfect combination of structure and elegance, producing a Brunello in a powerful and seductive style.
