We are thrilled to be able to offer you these rare cases of the new 2022 vintage of Chardonnay R and the Hundsrück Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs from Fürst.  

Our buying team recently had the pleasure of trying these at the estate and were incredibly impressed. For buyers seeking some of Germany’s best white and reds, this is a really special opportunity to get a hold of them.

Suckling echoes this sentiment giving the 2022 Hundsrück and the Chardonnay >R< near perfect scores of 99 and 98 points respectively. 

For him, speaking of the Chardonnay, this is “conclusive proof that certain vineyard sites in Germany can play in the global big leagues for Chardonnay”. He describes the wine as “Enormously concentrated and minerally” while stating that “This surely has decades of aging potential ahead of it”. 

Suckling describes the Hundsrück meanwhile as having a nose that is “ already a wonder to behold” with the palate having “breathtaking aromas of wet earth, autumn leaves, mint and smoke are underlain by layers of red fruit”.
