This is a very good...Outstanding' AM - 2015 Domaine Rossignol-Trapet, Gevrey Chambertin V V

In the face of tricky vintages, climatic challenges and severe economic headwinds, the number of Burgundy producers able to maintain a cellar of back vintages is dwindling. Domaine Rossignol-Trapet, blessed with an enviable array of vineyards stretching from Gevrey Chambertin to Beaune, are one of the few estates we work with that are still adding to a cellar rich in older wines. We always feel very lucky when Nicolas and David open the cellar door and offer us access to perfectly aged older bottles. Today we are delighted to present a parcel of their signature Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes from the 2015 vintage.

Village crus are delicious in their youth but, a decade from vintage, hit a truly exciting plateau of maturity. A 2015 Chambertin would still be far too young yet the Gevrey Vieilles Vignes is on a faster evolutionary curve and is significantly more open, generous and rewarding at 10 years old. Many people pass over village wines, in favour of the more prestigious Crus, on release but it is a category I love to champion so I am thrilled to offer these older cases with impeccable provenance.

Recently arrived in our Singapore cellars, direct from Gevrey Chambertin, these picture-perfect OCs are ready for immediate delivery and will provide high class mature drinking over the holiday season.
