We are thrilled to offer a parcel of original cases of arguably the greatest Champagne of them all, Salon. From the 2006 vintage, this is a fabulous example of Salon and, for Antonio Galloni, “will be a fascinating, utterly compelling Champagne to follow over the next several decades.”
Salon is a magnificent Champagne. For expert Richard Juhlin, it is, “the most sought-after Champagne among connoisseurs” and, with a mere 60,000 bottles made in a typical vintage and demand immense in the face of such limited supply, this is “so rare that only a few people have had the chance to taste” it. Back-vintages are especially difficult to find, making these cases of the 2006 all the more exciting.
The provenance here is excellent. These cases were bought on allocation on release by a long-standing client of ours and have been in bonded storage in the UK ever-since. Do take a look and let us know if you would like to secure a case or two of this fantastic Champagne.

The 2006 Salon is a very rich wine, almost uncharacteristically so. Deep and exotic the 2006 exudes richness in all of its dimensions, with myriad inflections of sumptuous fruit that fill out its ample, large-scaled frame. Today, the 2006 is surprisingly accessible for a young Salon, but it needs time to shed some baby fat. At times, the 2006 recalls the 2002, but it appears to have more phenolic intensity and overall structure. Even with all of its flamboyance and pure volume, the 2006 retains quite a bit of energy and freshness.
