We are delighted to offer a lovely parcel of cases of one of Burgundy’s most historic Grand Crus, Clos des Tart. Described by Neal Martin as having a “burly, powerful palate” and “a rich, exotic bouquet” this 2014 is a gorgeous Grand Cru and is available in rare quantity.
Clos de Tart of Morey St Denis is a rare Monopole Grand Cru (meaning the whole Grand Cru is owned by just one producer) and has an incredible history. It has had only four owners since 1141 – according to Jasper Morris – with this 2014 made by the Mommessin family, who purchased it in 1932 and sold it only in 2014. Under manager Sylvain Pitiot, who was appointed in 1996, it was reinvigorated, and by 2014, producing superb wines. These cases are coming from a single, long-standing, private client who purchased them on release and has kept them in bonded storage in the UK ever since. As the photo shows, the condition is excellent.
Do take a look and let us know if you would like to secure a case or two of this brilliant Grand Cru.
