Aalto PS is a gem of a wine. Made by Mariano Garcia, the genius winemaker at Vega Sicilia for 30 years, the pedigree here is immense, and the value equally compelling. The 96-point 2020 is a superb vintage. We are delighted to have some to offer directly from our cellars in London. 

Since its creation in 1999, Aalton has, in the words of Luis Gutierrez, become “one of the icons of modern Ribera del Duero”. It was Garcia’s first new project after leaving Vega Sicilia, and the wines are unabashedly hedonistic, richly decadent and dramatic. Yet, they draw freshness from the high-altitude vineyards with surprisingly cool climates and mineral complexity from deep-rooted old vines. These are sophisticated and layered wines of world-class quality.
