Blockbuster White Bordeaux at a Bargain Price, "Clean, pure, flawlessly balanced" (JD)
The 2019 S de Suduiraut is an outright bargain, a huge-scoring gem that punches massively above its price point. The ’S’ is the dry white made by this historic Chateau in Sauternes from a selection of the oldest vines on the property and, in 2019 is incredible, receiving scores of up to 95 points from the critics. For the money, it’s very tough to beat, so we are delighted to have cases to offer today directly from Bordeaux.
2019 was an excellent vintage in Bordeaux, and in such years, you often see over-performing wines. S de Suduiraut is a prime example. For Antonio Galloni, it is “terrific” and “The natural intensity of these old vines and the strong presence of Semillon come through” in this 94-point scorer. For Jeb Dunnuck, “The 2019 S De Suduiraut is straight-up brilliant and unquestionably ranks with the top whites in the vintage”, and he found it to be “Clean, pure, flawlessly balanced, and just a classy effort”. He gave it an excellent 95 points, a massive score for a wine at this price level.

The 2019 S De Suduiraut is straight-up brilliant and unquestionably ranks with the top whites in the vintage. Bright pineapple, honeysuckle, toasted spice, and chalky mineral notes all define the bouquet, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, vibrant, integrated acidity, and a great finish.
