We are thrilled to introduce the new vintage of Chateau de Millery – the 2019 – a wine closely linked to the Premier Grand Cru Classé B Chateau Figeac, as they share the same owner, the Manoncourt Family.
This tiny Saint-Emilion vineyard, less than 1 hectare, was acquired in 1942 by Thierry Manoncourt’s mother in the midst of World War II, with the hope that her son would return safely. Today, after over 80 years, Chateau de Millery remains a discreet and confidential wine that deserves the attention of wine enthusiasts worldwide.
Antonio Galloni absolutely loved this new vintage, he scored it with 96 points and stated that it is a “dense and richly textured wine that also boasts the underlying energy and reserve that is a signature of this tiny north-facing vineyard […] The interplay of fruit depth and classic structure makes it highly appealing.”
As the production of Chateau de Millery 2019 is limited to just around 3,000 bottles, it is a highly exclusive wine that is not to be missed!

The 2019 Millery is at once dense and richly textured, but also with the underlying energy and reserve that is such a signature of this tiny north-facing vineyard on clay/gravel soils in the Saint Christophe des Bardes sector of Saint-Émilion. Red/purplish berry fruit, lavender, rose petal, spice and mint are some of the nuances that develop with time in the glass. The interplay of fruit depth and classic structure is hugely appealing. Millery remains one of the most under the radar wines in all of Bordeaux.
