We are delighted to offer a Champagne that “reminds [Jancis Robinson] of Dom Perignon” yet at less than half the cost – the 2012 Palmer & Co Vintage.
In 1947, seven well-established and visionary winegrowers came together in a joint quest for ultimate perfection and founded Champagne Palmer & Co. The founders bought its current cellars from a failing Champagne House in Reims in 1959. Over the years, Champagne Palmer has spread past Reims and now owns an impressive 450 hectares of vineyards, over 200 of which are classified Grand and Premier Crus.
These are wines that fly under-the-radar and therefore represent some of the best value drinking wines in the region, especially considering the pedigree of the 2012 vintage on offer here.
Do let us know if you’d like to secure a case or two in time for the festivities.
We are very pleased to offer:

“Palmer’s 2012 Brut Vintage continues to show beautifully, wafting from the glass with notes of citrus oil, buttered toast, smoke and crisp green orchard fruit. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a tightly wound core, tangy acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it’s long and penetrating, concluding with a chalky finish. This is evolving very gracefully and will be even better with more time in the cellar: it’s one of the finest vintage releases I’ve tasted from this address.”

“Tasted blind. Light coppery gold colour. Very persistent bead. Smells sweet, almost candified. But this is very nicely balanced by citrus acidity. Reminds me of Dom Pérignon! Lightly reductive and rather beautifully balanced.”
Offered subject to final confirmation and remaining unsold. Available in approximately 4 weeks.
