2016 Chateau Pontet Canet
SGD $225 ($245.25 in GST) per bottle (75cl in OWC) – 67 bottles available
**Special deal: SGD $215 per bottle ($234.35 incl. GST) with a minimum order of 6 bottles**
99 Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown
“The 2016 Pontet-Canet is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it explodes from the glass with bombastic creme de cassis, stewed plums, and blueberry preserves notes, giving way to subtle notions of licorice, lilacs, and damp soil plus a waft of truffles. Full-bodied, it is super concentrated with a lovely line of freshness and ripe, firm, grainy tannins, finishing very long and with amazing purity.”
2019 Clos du Clocher
SGD $90 ($98.10 inc GST) per bottle (75cl) – 77 bottles available
95+ Points Lisa Perrotti-Brown
“Made from 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Clos du Clocher is deep garnet-purple colored. It is a little closed and broody to start, featuring charcoal, smoked meats, and tilled soil hints over a plum preserves and blackberry pie core with wafts of fragrant earth and tree bark. Full-bodied, rich, and densely packed with black fruit and mineral layers, it has firm, ripe, rounded tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with great length and depth.”
1982 Chateau L’ Evangile
SGD $800 ($872 inc GST) per bottle (75cl in OWC) – 6 bottles available
98 Points Robert Parker
“A blockbuster, dark plum/garnet-colored wine, the 1982 L’Evangile reveals a decadent, extravagantly rich nose of caramelized fruit, plum, licorice, smoked meats, and toffee. This opulent, full-bodied Pomerol caresses the palate with layers and layers of glycerin and fruit. The tannin is barely noticeable in this massive, rich, gorgeous effort. The complexity of the nose alone is worth a special admission price. It is close to full maturity, and is capable of lasting another 20-25 years.”
2015 Fourrier, Gevrey Chambertin Clos St Jacques 1er Cru
SGD $3,300 ($3,597 inc GST) per case (1×3 in OC) – 6 cases available
95 Points William Kelley
“Tasted blind, Jean-Marie Fourrier’s distinctive fingerprint was immediately recognizable in the 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques, a beautiful wine that soared from the glass with a projected bouquet of wild berries, peonies, orange rind and subtle currant leaf. Medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, it’s a concentrated, fleshy wine with considerable mid-palate depth and dimension, structured around fine, even melting tannins and concluding with a long, intense finish.”
2018 Comtes Lafon, Montrachet Grand Cru
SGD $4,500 ($4,905 inc GST) per bottle (75cl in OWC) – 4 bottles available
97 Points Neal Martin
“The 2018 Montrachet Grand Cru has a beautifully-defined bouquet. However, I had to afford my glass 10 minutes of gentle swirling to unlock the crushed stone, lemon skin and blackcurrant leaf scents. The palate is balanced with supremely well integrated oak, just the right amount of sapidity and spiciness. A very persistent finish fans out gloriously. Sophisticated and surfeit with breeding.”
2019 Long Dai
SGD $650 ($708.50 inc GST) per bottle (75cl with gift box)- 12 bottles available
92 Points Edward Ragg – The Wine Advocate
“The 2019 Domaine de Long Dai is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc and 6% Marselan, a blend that partly reflects the warm, dry year that was 2019 (not dissimilar to 2018). The 2019 Long Dai has a deep purple appearance. On the nose, there is some lifted but very young dark fruit showing cassis, bramble, mulberry, black cherry and a hint of blueberry with a touch of violet as well as some slight herbaceous notes (sage, green bell pepper). These primary characters are complemented by some gentle new oak influence (the 2019 Long Dai having been matured in a range of French barriques both new and old for some 18 months). On the palate, the 2019 Long Dai is austere in this youthful stage with fine-grained, coating tannins showing to the fore, some refreshing acidity—so typical of wines from this region—and relatively well-integrated 14.5% alcohol. This structure is nicely fleshed out with the dark fruit and savory oak notes. With its relatively long length, the 2019 vintage does not have the same density as the 2018, but it will be fascinating to see how both vintages age. Better approached from 2022, the 2019 Long Dai will improve in bottle over the next 6-8 years and perhaps beyond.”
2008 Dom Perignon Legacy Edition
SGD $1,980 ($2,158.20 inc GST) per case (1×6 in OC) – 3 cases available
98 Points Antonio Galloni
“The 2008 Dom Pérignon is a huge, powerful Champagne and also clearly one of the wines of the vintage. This is one of the most reticent bottles I have tasted. So much so that I am thinking about holding off opening any more bottles! The 2008 has always offered a striking interplay of fruit and structure. Today, the richness of the fruit is especially evident. Readers who own the 2008 should be thrilled, but patience is a must.”
NV Mousse Fils, Les Vignes de Mon Village Blanc de Meuniers
SGD $65 ($70,85 inc GST) per bottle (75cl) – 200 bottles available
SGD $130 ($141.70 inc GST) per magnum (150cl) – 30 magnums available
SGD $320 ($348.80 inc GST) per double magnum (3L) – 3 double magnums available
SGD $700 ($763 inc GST) per methuselah (6L) – 1 methuselah available
92 Points William Kelley
“Disgorged in September 2021 without dosage, the new release of Moussé’s NV Blanc de Meuniers Les Vignes De Mon Village is drawn from a perpetual reserve blending vintages 2014–2019. Offering up aromas of crisp orchard fruit, wheat toast and nectarine, it’s medium to full-bodied, fleshy and generous, with real plenitude and mid-palate sweetness despite its zero-dosage style. It’s a boisterous, fruit-driven young wine that’s full of charm.”
Tesseron Cognac Lot No 29 XO Exception (40%)
SGD $590 ($643.10 inc GST) per bottle (75cl) – 45 bottles available
96 Points Antonio Galloni
“The Cognac X.O. Exception Lot No. 29 is a powerful, almost tannic spirit. A blast of kirsch, sweet spice, chocolate, cedar and warming alcohol races across the palate. This release is young, young, young. I admire the density, but this really does need time to settle and come into its own. Spice, tobacco, cedar, dried flowers, caramel and dried orange peel linger. The No. 29 is a Cognac that is more about aromatic nuance and structure, with fruit pushed into the background. The Lot. 29 is a blend of 75+ year-old eau de vies, Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche, all Petit Champagne.”
