Glen Scotia 48 Year Old - Only 250 Bottles For The World!

Our spirits buyers have just found a bottle of the incredibly rare Glen Scotia 48-Year-Old, and I thought you might have an interest. Taken from the distiller’s oldest reserves, only 250 bottles of this are available for the entire global market, so we were thrilled to have discovered this one.
The cask from which this was drawn was originally laid down in 1974, and even then, it was seen as special, with immense potential to age. It has been allowed to reach this level of maturity by generations of distillery teams.
The whiskey spent most of its life in the traditional combination of refill and then first-fill bourbon barrels, before being re-casked into a first-fill Olorosso hogshead for five years. Finally, it was placed into a second-fill Pedro Ximenez barrel for six months. The result is a whisky of exceptional complexity, with the multiple layers of flavour that come with time.
Presented in a beautiful oak display case, it’s an immensely collectable whisky. Do take a look and let me know if you would like it.
