Having just received a score of 99 points, an Outstanding Gold award and title of‘World’s Top Single Malt Scotch Whisky’ at the International Wine & Spirits Challenge (IWSC), bottles are selling out left right and centre considering the incredible price point for this whisky.

Glenturret is known as Scotland’s oldest working distillery having been in operation since 1763 (although a couple of other distilleries might contest this!) located in Perthshire in the Scottish Midlands. It draws its water from the very pure Loch Turret and is located close to only a handful of other distilleries including Aberfeldy, Deanston and Tullibardine.

The Triple Wood is so named after the three types of cask that the whisky has matured in; American and European sherry seasoned oak casks and ex-Bourbon barrels.

Crowned the ‘World’s Top Single Malt Scotch Whisky’, this one is an unmissable addition to the spirits collection of even the most casual whisky drinker.
