Together, the 2022 Las Pizarras Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah are a superb trio of wines to stock up on.

The Las Pizarras wines are the ‘Grand Crus’ in the Errazuriz portfolio. They come from small plots of vines within the wider vineyards identified as sitting on unique schist soils on the lower slopes of the Andes, where ideal drainage and soil composition mean reds and whites with drive, energy, purity and precision. The care and attention they receive are second to none, meaning that they punch massively above their price points.

With scores up to 98 points, the 2022s are excellent. The Chardonnay has “Astonishing purity and youthful freshness” and, for James Suckling, is “Surely the best white wine from this producer to date!”. The Pinot Noir is “Excellent energy. Serious” and will age beautifully. The Syrah is,“Really fresh and crunchy with al-dente fruit and tannins on the medium-bodied palate”.
